Basic Deuces Wild Rules

Deuces Wild video poker games are standard five card draw games except for deuces being wild. You will be dealt five cards face up. You choose which cards to keep and which to give up. The cards that you discard are replaced with new cards from the shoe. If you win, you have two options: collect your winnings and go on to the next game, or to double up against the house.
 
If you choose the double up or nothing in online Deuces Wild video poker, here is what will happen. The dealer will draw one card face-up and four cards face down. The open card is the dealer’s card. You choose one of the other cards to your card. If the card you drew beats the dealer’s, you can either collect double your winnings and proceed to another Deuces Wild video poker game, or you can continue gambling and double up against the house again.
 
In the case of a tie, you can collect just your original winnings or start another double or nothing round. If you lose, your original bet is forfeited and you go back to Deuces Wild video poker.
 
You may get the option to “half double” against the house in an online Deuces Wild poker game. This means that you bet only half your winnings against the dealer. One half is collected immediately, and the other half is wagered for the double game.
 
The game against the house proceeds as above, but if you win, you only double one half of your winnings, which is, of course, equal to the original amount of your profit, that you can now add to the other half that you set aside. This means that rather than winning double or nothing, you win either 1.5 times your original profit, or half your winnings. You can gain less, but you also have less risk.
